Why is the e-filing system different now? (I-90)

All applications are now filed with ELIS - the Electronic Immigration System.

The filing system for Form I-90 has changed because as of April of 2015, USCIS began processing all Form I-90 applications in the USCIS' Electronic Immigration System (ELIS). Even if you were to file a paper Form I-90 with USCIS, and not create a USCIS online account, an online account will be automatically created for you.
